Impression. Interaction. Information.
Impression.
For an organization that serves its members, the first impression is important. This is what is going to make an organization stand out among other organizations. This is what the members will remember about the organization. This can also be the reason why a member would want to be a part of the organization. That is why it is essential always to make a good impression.
Interaction.
Interacting with the different factors on how things work takes skill. As small as a feeding program in the community or as big as handling an organization's national event is no different, it all takes on how you interact with the different factors that are needed to operate or successfully finish one project. I believe developing this trait is something inherent among us, and it is up to us if we work on this. Some interaction does not necessarily mean that you have to be active all the time, knowing when and where to interact is something included in improving your interaction skills.
Information.
Every functional organization is heavily reliant on information. Knowing who your competitors, who are reliable sources of information or accessible source of things needed to operate are, when and where is the right time to do something, whom to contact, whom to delegate, all requires careful information gathering. Someone with the trait to be able to network and gather the information that quick is valuable in any organization, and the relief if one person wants to develop this trait is simply by conversing with different people. Having a network of people when you are lost or missing something is very important as a student leader.
