What is Operations Research?

Operations Research has been one of the known tools used for decision making in all aspects. But how does it really apply in our lives? Engineering students of different majors were invited and imparted with the impact Operations Research has in the society.

The first speaker was Engr. Nestor R. Ong, PIE, ASEAN ENG. He is currently an Industrial Engineering professor and is the Deputy Director for for QS/THE Rankings at UST. From this seminar we saw how Operations Research is applied not only in the corporate world but also in the normal decisions we make even as students. The event was concluded as Frances Eunice Ramos expressed their gratitude for the speakers and students in her closing remarks.
